Often, owners do not pay enough attention to Maine Coon teeth care, considering it unnecessary. The teeth of cats of this breed are very large and sharp. But neglect the care of your pet’s teeth should not.

Make sure that the cat receives sufficiently tough food that will clean the teeth.

And also make it a rule to periodically brush your pet’s teeth with special toothpaste. Teach your kitten similar hygiene from childhood.

To keep your teeth healthy, you need to take care of good nutrition. First of all, calcium-containing foods should be given to the cat, as this element is the main component of the dental tissue. Calcium is found in large quantities in fermented milk products (cottage cheese, cheese, sour cream …).

Additionally, it will not hurt to feed Maine Coon with vitamins with the addition of calcium, especially when it comes to a kitten, pregnant or elderly cat.
